The CBS Honours Scholarship is to encourage and assist students in
financial need to undertake or who are currently undertaking an Honours year at
Curtin in Semester 1, 2014.

Value
The Curtin Business School Honours Scholarship will provide the following
support for up to a maximum of 1 year (based on full-time study load of 100
credits per semester):
A total value of up to $4,000
paid as a cash stipend of $2,000 per semester. The amount can be used at the
recipient's discretion to contribute towards educational expenses.
Payments occur post census date each semester. Payments will be made
approximately mid-end April and September.
Eligible courses: Bachelor of Commerce (Honours)
Eligibility criteria
Unless there are exceptional circumstances such as, but not limited, to
medical or family reasons, students must meet ALL of the following:

Remain enrolled in your CBS
honours degree
·
Maintain a fulltime study load of
at least 75 credits per semester at Curtin University
·
Maintain a course weighted
average (CWA) of at least 70 per semester
·
Pass all units attempted per
semester
Scholarship continuity is subject to meeting satisfactory academic progress
as detailed above. Progress will be assessed at the end of each study period.
Unless there are exceptional circumstances, a recipient with unsatisfactory
progress or who breaches the scholarship conditions shall be ineligible to
retain the scholarship. Exceptional circumstances must be forwarded to and
shall be at the discretion of the Scholarships Office.

Changes to enrolment
Change from full time enrolment: If a recipient intends to change from full
time enrolment (75 credits), they must apply in writing to the Scholarships
Office (scholarships@curtin.edu.au) for approval BEFORE the change.
Change of course: Change of course is not permitted.
Leave of absence: Leave of absence is not permitted.
Withdrawal or Terminated from units or course: A student who withdraws from their units or
course of study, or has been terminated from studies will become ineligible for
continuation of the scholarship, will not receive any further payments and will
be required to repay to the University any stipend awarded for that study
period if applicable.
